Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services is seeking a Recovery Specialist for the Transitional Support Services (TSS) program in Tewksbury, MA. The role focuses on short-term residential support for individuals in early recovery from drug or alcohol addiction, with nursing support, case management, group sessions and aftercare planning integral to care.

The position is full-time for 40 hours on the Evening shift (Friday–Tuesday, 2:30–11:00 PM).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with substance use population preferred.
• Valid MA Driver’s License in good standing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and structure of the program milieu by monitoring client activities.
• Observe and supervise clients and unit; conduct 30 minute client well-being checks.
• Conduct telephone admissions screenings and other admissions duties.
• Search client belongings on admission and at discharge as directed by supervisor.
• Complete all checklists, shift documentation and record keeping according to agency policies.

Clients are provided with the tools they need to begin developing skills of daily living including goal setting, problem solving, and self-advocacy. Services include nursing support, individual case management, group treatment sessions, aftercare planning, and more.
