Job summary

Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Recovery Specialist in Gainesville, FL to support the treatment team, maintain a safe milieu, and document client interactions.

You will enable therapeutic relationships, monitor client care, and help shape operational excellence while adhering to our core values. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with substitution options for college education or personal recovery experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred and 2 years' experience in a human service field required.
• College education in human service may substitute for experience.
• Personal recovery of at least 2 years may substitute for work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists the treatment team in providing direct client care.
• Aids in ensuring an orderly, safe and therapeutic environment by maintaining a therapeutic relationship with person served and treating person served with dignity and respect at all times.
• Monitors person served to help maintain a safe, clean environment and sets standards for milieu monitoring through the performance of these tasks.
• Observes, reports and documents client interaction among peers, staff and the community as it relates to clients' individual recovery goals.
