Job summary

Chimes in Drexel Hill, PA is hiring a Recovery Specialist for its Residential Recovery Program. This full-time role pays $18/hour with a Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift, in a small, supportive team, managing 4–5 residents.

You will guide daily living skills, budgeting, and medication education; provide recovery-oriented counseling; assist with housekeeping and meals; transport residents; document care; and advocate for residents within the program.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 1 year of human services experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Strong communicator who thrives both independently and on a team.
• A compassionate, flexible, recovery-oriented mindset.
• Comfort managing a small caseload (4–5 residents).
• Valid driver's license and willingness to transport residents.

Responsibilities

• Guide residents through daily living skills — self-care, budgeting, and medication education
• Provide supportive, recovery-oriented counseling grounded in best practices
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming home through light housekeeping and meal prep
• Drive residents to appointments and activities using a program van
• Administer medications in line with DPW standards
• Respond calmly and confidently in crisis moments
• Keep accurate documentation and billable service records
• Advocate for residents and model healthy communication and conflict resolution
• Partner with your program coordinator and team to support each resident's individual goals
