Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is seeking a Recovery Specialist to join the Springfield Center team in Springfield, MA. The role includes providing direct services, crisis intervention, transportation of clients, and ensuring documentation is accurate and timely as part of a residential substance use treatment program.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of substance abuse treatment experience, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to client empowerment and community integration.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct services and ensure the well-being of consumers.
  • Overseeing client activities, produce accurate and timely documentation, and are responsible for food shopping.
  • Providing crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
  • Transporting clients in their own registered and insured vehicle or program van.
  • Adhering to regulations and requirements of licensing and funding sources.

What You Will Do:

The Springfield Center provides residential substance use treatment for men and women. The diverse experienced team at Springfield Center provides a variety of services including individual and group counseling, and medical and mental health referrals, among others. Our goal is to provide a safe and sober living environment to allow residents to work together in an atmosphere of recovery.

Who You Are:
  • One year of experience in substance abuse treatment environment (required).
  • Commitment to client empowerment, human rights, and community integration (required).
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
  • Valid driver’s license (required).
  • Vehicle for use during all working hours should be registered and inspected in accordance with 540 CMR 4.00 (required).
  • Knowledge of DPH Bureau of Substance Abuse Regulations.

Available Schedules:

Part Time: Friday-Sunday, 2:45pm-11:15pm

Pay Rate/Range:

$21/hr
