Job summary

Center for Human Development (CHD) seeks a 2nd shift Recovery Specialist for the Two Rivers Recovery Center program in Greenfield, MA. This full-time, on-site role supports women in early recovery within a therapeutic residential setting.

Responsibilities include assisting daily living activities, administering medications, and advocating for clients’ independence and recovery. Competitive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Background screening including CORI and motor vehicle record check is required.
• Preferred experience in the substance use/mental health field.
• Group home experience is preferred.

Job description

Center for Human Development, CHD, is currently seeking2nd shift Recovery Specialist to join ourTwo River’s Program in Greenfield, MA!

Two Rivers Recovery Center is a therapeutic residential treatment program for women in early recovery. Two Rivers provides services for up to 25 women and five newborns in a collective living environment, where women (and some newborns) share space and resourcesin an effort tobuild sober community and peaceful living. As a therapeutic setting, we strive to provide each woman with a safe, nurturing environment to foster success. TRRC provides the resources where women grow emotionally, socially, and spiritually through the clinical and supportive services.

Your role as Direct Care:

• Supporting clients' activities of daily living
• Administering medications as needed
• Advocate for individuals and provide opportunities to optimize their independence, rehabilitation and recovery
• Develop professional and supportive relationships with clients and provide informal counseling and guidance with a person-centered focus
• Providea safe and sober environment that is relevant,consistentand nurturing
• If residents have children,provide the skills and support residents need to parent residents’children
• Assist in preparation for vocational and workforce development

Requirements:

• All positions require background screening including a CORI and motor vehicle record check, as well as a reliable vehicle.
• Preferred experience with working in the substance use/mental health field
• Experience in a group home setting preferred
• Female applicants encouraged to apply

This is a full time, 2nd shift opportunity. Work hours will be Tuesday - Saturday 2:30pm-10:30pm.
