Job summary

Central State Hospital is hiring a full-time Recovery Services Specialist to support recovery-oriented care. The role primarily follows a Monday–Friday schedule with some evenings and weekend hours as needed.

The position involves planning psychoeducational sessions, providing therapeutic support, and modeling healthy recovery behaviors within the Recovery Center. Documentation and collaboration with staff are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Willingness to work some evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules and conducts psychoeducational classes on recovery.
• Provides therapeutic support within the units and Recovery Center.
• Teaches and models healthy behaviors aligned with recovery goals.
• Contributes to a safe, therapeutic environment by verbal de-escalation and, as authorized, other behavior management techniques.
• Completes and maintains service documentation per standards.
• Communicates care-related information with other staff members.
• Assists with patient care duties and other activities as necessary.

Job Description:Central State Hospital is seeking a full-time Recovery Services Specialist to join the Recovery Services team!This position will primarily work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM AND will rotate some evening and weekend hours.Job Details:Plans, schedules and conducts psychoeducational classes on recovery as assigned (e. g., medication side effects, ADL, communication skills, stress management strategies).Provides therapeutic support within the units and Recovery Center.Teaches and models healthy behaviors, consistent with the treatment/care goals of recovery.Contributes to safe and therapeutic environment by practicing verbal de-escalation and, as authorized, other behavior management techniques.Completes and maintains service documentation according to mandated standards.Communicates information relevant to care, treatment, and services, with other staff members.Assist with patient care duties and other activities as necessary.QualificationsMust have high school diploma or GED.Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred (or equivalent experience.)1 year of relevant experience preferred.Must be willing to work some evenings, weekends and holidays.Must have and maintain valid drivers license.#LI-EGTime Type:Full time
