Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Recovery Room (PACU) in a same-day surgery setting. The RN will monitor recovery, administer medications, document care, and ensure appropriate charging of supplies per physician orders and facility policy.

Reports To: Supervisor of Clinical Services. Requires valid RN license and AHA BLS/ACLS certifications. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for patient-centered care and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license.
• AHA BLS Certification.
• AHA ACLS Certification.
• Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care for post-operative patients.
• Monitor and document patients' physical and mental status throughout the recovery process.
• Recognize and report symptoms, reactions, abnormalities, and condition changes to the appropriate healthcare providers.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Verification of a valid physician order prior to administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a same-day surgery setting.
• Monitor patient recovery and document assessments.
• Administer medications as ordered and ensure correct dosing.
• Discharge patients according to facility policies and procedures.
