Job summary

Surgery Partners in New York, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Recovery Room (PACU) to deliver comprehensive nursing care in a same-day surgery setting, monitor patient recovery, administer medications, document care, and ensure proper charge capture.

Reports To: Supervisor of Clinical Services. Requires graduate of an accredited nursing program, active RN license in NY, AHA BLS, ACLS, and strong communication and critical-thinking skills to support a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in NY state.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to assess and manage post-operative patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor postoperative patients and assess recovery progress.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Document care accurately and maintain patient records.
• Discharge post-operative patients per facility policy.
• Communicate patient status to physicians and care team.
• Ensure proper charging of supplies used during care.
