The Recovery Residence Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation and coordination of Spence Specialties' Certified Recovery Residence (CRR) Level II program while fostering a safe, structured, recovery-oriented living environment. The Recovery Residence Coordinator supports residents through mentorship, recovery coaching, independent living support, community engagement, and coordination of recovery resources while promoting accountability, resident responsibility, and long-term recovery. This position ensures compliance with all Certified Recovery Residence (CRR) standards, Housing Support requirements, agency policies, and applicable federal and state regulations. The Recovery Residence Coordinator does not provide clinical services or billable peer recovery support services. Duties and responsibilities

Recovery Residence Operations

• Coordinate the daytoday operations of all assigned recovery residences.
• Promote a safe, respectful, substancefree, and recoveryoriented living environment.
• Ensure consistent implementation of house rules, policies, and recovery expectations.
• Coordinate resident moveins, moveouts, room assignments, and orientation.
• Monitor occupancy and communicate vacancies with admissions staff.
• Monitor inventory of household supplies and communicate supply needs.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and follow through until completed.
• Ensure required postings, emergency information, and CRR documents remain current in each residence.

Resident Support

• Build professional mentoring relationships that encourage accountability and recovery.
• Assist residents in developing and working toward individualized recovery goals.
• Coach residents in independent living skills, including budgeting, hygiene, cleaning, meal planning, communication, and healthy routines.
• Encourage participation in treatment, recovery meetings, employment, education, volunteer opportunities, and community resources.
• Connect residents with recovery supports and community resources.
• Assist residents in identifying barriers to recovery and developing strategies to overcome them.
• Promote resident selfsufficiency while maintaining professional boundaries.

Recovery Residence Coordination

• Conduct regular visits to each recovery residence.
• Monitor resident compliance with house rules, curfew, chores, medication storage requirements, and recovery expectations.
• Monitor attendance at required treatment appointments, recovery meetings, and house meetings.
• Evaluate resident progress and make recommendations regarding overnight pass eligibility.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate concerns to the CEO and treatment providers when appropriate.
• Maintain a positive recovery culture throughout each residence.

House Meetings

• Plan and facilitate weekly house meetings.
• Encourage resident participation and collaborative problemsolving.
• Promote accountability, communication, and healthy peer relationships.
• Document attendance, discussion topics, resident concerns, and action items.
• Follow up on unresolved issues.

Resident Orientation

Provide orientation for all new residents, including:

• Resident Handbook
• House Rules
• Emergency Procedures
• Individual Emergency/Safety Plan
• Medication Policy
• Recovery expectations
• Curfew and overnight procedures
• Chore assignments
• Community resources
• Resident rights and grievance procedures

Housing Inspections

Conduct and document routine inspections of each recovery residence, including:

• Resident bedrooms
• Shared living spaces
• Kitchens
• Bathrooms
• Laundry and utility areas
• Exterior property
• General cleanliness
• Safety hazards
• Fire safety equipment
• Maintenance concerns

Immediately report urgent safety issues and submit maintenance requests as needed.

Resident Conflict Resolution

• Assist residents in resolving conflicts using respectful, recoveryoriented communication.
• Facilitate mediation when appropriate.
• Coach residents in healthy communication and problemsolving skills.
• Document interventions and outcomes.
• Refer clinical concerns to treatment providers when appropriate.

Crisis Response

• Respond appropriately to resident emergencies occurring during assigned work hours.
• Follow agency emergency procedures for overdose, behavioral emergencies, fire, medical emergencies, and environmental hazards.
• Notify the CEO and appropriate personnel of significant incidents.
• Complete required incident reports.

Documentation

Maintain accurate and timely documentation including:

• Resident orientation documentation
• Recovery goals
• Community referrals
• House meeting documentation
• House safety inspections
• Bedroom inspections
• Incident reports
• Maintenance requests
• Resident communications
• Corrective action documentation

Documentation must be completed according to agency policy and required timelines.

Collaboration

Maintain effective communication with:

• CEO
• ANEW Chemical Health Services treatment staff
• ANEW Health & Wellness Clinic providers
• Case managers
• Probation officers (with appropriate authorization)
• Community providers
• Housing Support agencies
• Family members (with appropriate releases)

Participate in interdisciplinary meetings as assigned.

Community Engagement

Encourage residents to participate in:

• Recovery support meetings
• Volunteer opportunities
• Educational programming
• Employment services
• Community events
• Healthy recreational activities
• Recovery celebrations

Continuous Quality Improvement

• Assist with licensing readiness and CRR compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve recovery residence services.
• Promote compliance with all agency policies and Certified Recovery Residence standards.
• Recommend improvements that enhance resident safety, engagement, and retention.

Training

Maintain all required certifications and complete ongoing training, including:

• Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) requirements
• Certified Recovery Residence (CRR) requirements
• Housing Support requirements
• Vulnerable Adult Mandated Reporter Training
• Opiate antagonist (Narcan) administration
• CPR/First Aid (if required)
• Traumainformed care
• Professional boundaries and ethics
• Additional agencyrequired training

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience working in recovery support, substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, or recovery housing preferred.
• Knowledge of recoveryoriented systems of care and traumainformed practices.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problemsolving skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries.
• Ability to respond appropriately during emergencies and crisis situations.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel between recovery residences.
• Ability to successfully complete all required background studies.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent travel between recovery residences.
• Ability to navigate residential homes, including stairs.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to respond to emergencies within residential settings.
