Job summary

Brightli is seeking a motivated Peer Support Specialist to empower individuals on their recovery journey. You will assist in crafting treatment plans, maintain communication with referral sources, and participate in staffing to ensure continuity of care. No prior experience is required – on-the-job training is provided.

Location: Trenton, MO. Full-time role in CB Adult Community Services. Shift varies, with strong emphasis on recovery, resilience, and community integration.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent is required.
• Two years of responsible employment history are required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance.
• Willingness to self-identify as a current or former client of mental health and/or substance use services, or as a person in recovery, is required.

Responsibilities

• Support, encourage, and model recovery and resilience tailored to each individual.
• Provide individual or group services with a rehabilitation and recovery focus.
• Help individuals manage psychiatric symptoms and utilize natural supports to improve community living.
• Encourage clients to connect with others and their communities.
• Assist individuals in making independent choices and taking an active role in their treatment.
• Identify personal strengths and resources to aid in recovery.
• Support clients in setting and achieving recovery goals.

Education
