Job summary

Watsontown Comprehensive Treatment Center is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to support patients in recovery from opioid use disorder within a MAT/OTP program. You will engage patients at initial contact, promote empowerment, and help coordinate care with the clinical team and community resources.

The role emphasizes advocacy, coping-skill coaching, and thorough documentation, with early morning hours and a strong focus on recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• PRSS Certification from WVCBAPP required.
• No previous work experience required, though highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to patients in recovery from opioid use disorder.
• Engage patients at first contact to expedite screening for appropriate care level.
• Advocate and mentor patients to promote empowerment and engagement in care.
• Model coping strategies and support relapse prevention efforts.
• Coordinate with clinical teams and community resources to meet social needs.
• Document services in accordance with policies and standards.
• Attend trainings and supervision sessions; perform other duties as assigned.
