Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery.
• Ability to manage personal wellness and maintain boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer support to clients using personal experience to build trust.
• Staff available spaces to increase engagement and address barriers to care.
• Share insights on recovery, coping, and resilience building.
• Act as a positive role model, demonstrating healthy coping and self-advocacy.
• Help clients identify and access community resources upon discharge.
• Support navigation of the care continuum and advocate for client needs.
• Develop personal recovery goals and action plans with clients.
• Collaborate to identify strengths, overcome barriers, and celebrate progress.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, progress notes, and activities.
• Ensure documentation meets organizational and regulatory standards and confidentiality.
• Submit regular reports on progress and outcomes to supervisors.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed.
