Job summary

SeaView Community Services in Seward, Alaska seeks a Peer Support Specialist for its Recovery Center. Qualifications

• Must have lived experience with substance use recovery.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer-based support to clients in individual and group settings.
• Leverage lived experience to build trust and inspire hope in recovery.
• Assist clients in navigating community resources and developing life skills.
• Collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and other team members.
• Help clients set and achieve personal recovery goals.
• Promote self-advocacy and empower clients to manage their wellness.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
