Job summary

Ignitus Recovery is hiring a Peer Recovery Coach in Boulder, CO. This role leverages lived recovery experience to mentor clients across treatment stages, build trust, and promote recovery goals within a collaborative clinical team.

The position emphasizes compassionate accountability, safety, and client autonomy, with 8-hour shifts and hourly pay ranging from $20 to $26. Training and supervision are provided to support certification and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Self-identifies as a person with lived recovery experience and is willing to share that experience appropriately in a professional setting.
• Basic understanding of addiction, co-occurring mental health conditions, and recovery processes.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Use lived experience of recovery to build rapport, trust, and authentic peer-to-peer relationships with clients.
• Provide one-on-one mentoring and coaching to support clients in identifying recovery goals and developing individualized recovery plans.
• Facilitate and co-facilitate recovery-focused groups, meetings, and skill-building sessions.
• Offer peer support throughout all phases of treatment, including admission, treatment engagement, transitions of care, and discharge planning.
• Support clients in navigating cravings, triggers, and high-risk situations using recovery-oriented tools and strategies.
• Provide crisis de-escalation and emotional support, while adhering to safety protocols and knowing when to involve clinical or supervisory staff.
• Model healthy coping skills, self-advocacy, boundary setting, and recovery-oriented daily living.
• Collaborate with clinical, medical, case management, and administrative staff to ensure coordinated, recovery-centered care.
• Assist clients in accessing community-based recovery resources, including mutual aid groups, sober living, vocational supports, and other community organizations.
• Help clients build and strengthen their community recovery network and natural supports.
• Document all services, contacts, and interventions in accordance with organizational, clinical, and regulatory standards.
