Job summary

Geisinger Addiction Medicine in Williamsport, PA, seeks a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) to join a multidisciplinary team supporting patients with opioid use disorders within a medication treatment program.

The CRS will provide outreach and recovery support in clinic and community settings, drawing on personal recovery experiences to encourage engagement with treatment and resources. This is a research study role, with travel to local clinics around Bloomsburg and Williamsport.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Recovery Specialist certification.
• Related work or volunteer experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in outreach, engagement, and providing nonjudgmental support for patients in medication treatment.
• Conducts regular meetings to identify interests, goals and recovery plans with patients.
• Engages patients via clinic visits, phone, video, and text; helps schedule and attend appointments.
