Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) to provide peer support and advocacy for individuals in recovery at our King of Prussia site. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, lead group and individual sessions, and document care in the EHR.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed, de-escalation skills and empowering clients through recovery pathways. The position is full-time, day shift (7am-7:30pm) with every-other-weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Recovery Specialist with Pennsylvania Certification Board and maintain registration.
• Must be able to perform Safe Clinch restraint techniques.
• Basic computer literacy, including ability to document in an Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) must be obtained within seven days of hire.
• Background checks: Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Criminal Background Check, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, medical screenings.
• Company vaccination policy requires full vaccination or approved exemption.
• Ability to meet physical requirements for intervention and movement.

Responsibilities

• Actively facilitate or co-facilitate group and individual recovery sessions.
• Serve as an advocate helping clients navigate recovery with crisis plans.
• Build trust-based relationships to minimize seclusion or restraint and practice trauma-informed care.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage crises and ensure safety.
• Help clients access community resources and recovery options.
• Document all encounters in the EHR with accuracy and compliance.
• Share personal recovery experiences to support and motivate clients.
