Job summary

Vocational Instruction Project in New York is seeking a Peer Recovery Navigator to provide support to patients with behavioral health needs, specifically for the induction of Buprenorphine (Suboxone). The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, certifications such as CARC or CRPA, and experience with the target population. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with the target population and lived experience with Buprenorphine/Suboxone.
• Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person outreach to patients having difficulty engaging in behavioral health treatments.
• Document and bill all interactions recorded in electronic health records (EHR).
• Attend all agency staff meetings and maintain good working relationships.
