Job summary

Divided Sky Foundation in Ludlow, VT is seeking an Assistant Dining Services Coordinator to plan nutritious meals for guests on the recovery retreat, oversee dietary restrictions, and maintain a clean, orderly kitchen.

Reporting to the Dining Services Coordinator, you will lead kitchen operations, collaborate with staff and volunteers, and ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must work well in a team and independently.
• Maintain inventory levels.
• Read and interpret recipes and safety rules.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Obtain first aid and CPR within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in high-volume institutional food service or healthcare or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan menus that are flavorful and reflect seasonal options.
• Provide oversight for guests with special dietary needs.
• Maintain a current dietary needs list in the kitchen.
• Order food, kitchen supplies, and cleaning products within budget and guidelines.
• Facilitate monthly cooking/baking classes with guests.
• Oversee kitchen and dining room cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure a high level of kitchen cleanliness throughout operations.
• Approve time off requests and timesheets when acting as Dining Services Coordinator.
• Perform other duties as delegated by the Dining Services Coordinator.
