Job summary

All In Solutions in Kearny, NJ is seeking a compassionate Chef to join our culinary team in an inpatient substance abuse treatment setting. You will prepare nourishing, delicious meals that contribute to clients’ health, comfort, and dignity during recovery.

Day shift runs from 10 AM to 6:30 PM with a fixed weekly schedule (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday). The role emphasizes safety, quality, and empathetic client service in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of professional kitchen experience.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain ServSafe Food Handler (or Manager) certification.
• Strong knife skills and understanding of cooking temperatures.
• Able to pass pre-employment background checks and health screenings.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to menus and recipes.
• Specialty Diets: Accommodate allergies, diabetic-friendly meals, and vegetarian/vegan requests.
• Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen; follow health regulations and HACCP guidelines.
• Inventory Management: Receive deliveries, rotate stock (FIFO), ensure freshness and storage.
• Client Interaction: Serve meals with a positive, professional, empathetic attitude toward clients in recovery.
