Job summary

All In Solutions in Kearny, NJ is seeking a compassionate Chef to join our culinary team in an inpatient substance use treatment setting. You will prepare nourishing, delicious meals that support clients’ recovery, following established menus and recipes while maintaining a respectful, supportive environment.

The role requires 1–2 years in a professional kitchen (healthcare or high-volume settings preferred), ServSafe certification, knife skills, proper temperatures, and safe handling.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen (healthcare, residential, or high-volume restaurant experience preferred).
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler (or Manager) certification.
• Strong knowledge of knife skills, cooking temperatures, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to pass comprehensive pre-employment background checks and health screenings.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options according to established menus and standardized recipes.
• Specialty Diets: Accommodate specific dietary needs including allergies, diabetic-friendly meals, and vegetarian/vegan requests.
• Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Adhere to all local health department regulations and HACCP guidelines.
• Inventory Management: Assist in receiving deliveries, rotating stock (FIFO), and ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
• Client Interaction: Serve meals with a positive, professional, and empathetic attitude toward clients in recovery.
