Job summary

PFH Preferred Family Healthcare in Winfield, KS seeks a Counselor/Therapist to join the Recovery Services team. You will develop individualized treatment plans, conduct group and individual counseling, and maintain relationships with clients and referral sources to support recovery goals.

The role emphasizes compassionate, collaborative care, ongoing professional development, and adherence to regulatory standards in documenting services and coordinating care.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in human services (non-licensed) preferred.
• Credentials as Qualified Addiction Professional or Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC/LCAC) as defined by state boards.
• Willingness to credential in additional states and provide telehealth services.

Responsibilities

• Complete intake, screening, and assessment processes within designated time frames.
• Develop and individualize treatment plans based on assessment information.
• Document all services provided in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Facilitate group counseling, education, and individual sessions focused on substance use recovery.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, referral sources, and coworkers.
• Handle crisis situations effectively as they arise.
• Participate in clinical staffing and treatment team meetings, providing feedback on cases.
• Assist clients through the transition process and complete necessary correspondence.

Education

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in human services

LMSW/LMAC/LPC/LMFT preferred
