Chestnut Ridge Counseling Services, Inc. seeks a compassionate Residential Support Advisor for our Long-Term Structured Residence (LTSR) program in Connellsville, PA.

The role focuses on promoting recovery, independence, and community engagement for adults living with serious mental illness. You will respond to crises, help residents access appointments and activities, and collaborate with staff and providers to maintain a safe, person-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 semester credit hours in social sciences or equivalent experience.
• At least two years in public or human services; at least one year with mental health challenges.
• Option 2: HS diploma or GED plus lived experience or family support involvement.

Responsibilities

• Respond to overflow crisis calls and provide crisis intervention.
• Build positive relationships and promote self-determination and recovery.
• Provide direct support to residents to achieve personal goals and independence.
• Assist residents with life, social, coping, and community living skills.
• Transport residents to medical and other essential appointments.
• Support participation in community activities and recovery-oriented groups.
• Collaborate with staff, leadership, and providers to address needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and resident contacts.
