Job summary

Casa de Amparo is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented services within the IOP/PHP program. The role relies on lived experience, formal training, and adherence to approved practice guidelines to support client engagement and transition to lower levels of care.

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Support Specialist certification required or in progress and obtained within 90 days of hire
• Experience delivering recovery-oriented peer support services
• Ability to document accurately and maintain logs and data as per program requirements
• Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, with cultural sensitivity

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and recovery-oriented services using lived experience and approved guidelines
• Support client engagement, retention, and participation in the IOP/PHP program
• Help clients identify strengths, recovery goals, wellness strategies, and coping skills
• Collaborate with clinicians, nurses, program manager, and other team members to support care planning and transitions
• Complete required documentation and logs per Medi-Cal, County, and agency requirements
• Ensure safety, boundaries, and appropriate professional conduct in all interactions
