Job summary

Across The Life Span, PLLC is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our Roxboro service area. You will provide peer-based services across Yanceyville, Roxboro, and Greensboro, supporting recovery goals and connecting clients to community resources.

You will collaborate with licensed clinicians and other staff, maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation, and participate in ongoing trainings and ethical standards. This is a mission-driven role requiring travel across multiple counties.

Qualifications

• Current, active NC Peer Support Specialist Certification
• Personal lived experience of mental health or substance use recovery
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid NC driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EHR documentation
• Strong interpersonal communication and recovery-oriented values

Responsibilities

• Provide individual peer support using strengths-based, person-centered approach grounded in lived experience
• Help individuals identify recovery goals and build natural support networks
• Model recovery and hope through authentic peer engagement
• Support navigation of community services including mental health, housing, and employment
• Accompany consumers to appointments and community activities
• Facilitate peer support groups and recovery education workshops
• Outreach to individuals disengaged from behavioral health services
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary ATLS team and document updates for the Clinical Services Manager
