Job summary

Eddy is seeking a Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented services at Genesis Residential Center and Off Main Clinic in Oceanside, CA. You will use your lived experience to help clients engage in treatment, build coping skills, and connect with community resources.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, document services in Medi-Cal-compliant records, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to use electronic health records.
• Qualifying lived experience with substance use or mental health recovery.
• Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist certification preferred; obtain within 90 days if not certified.
• Valid California driver's license and automobile insurance.
• CPR and First Aid certification and TB clearance.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work within peer role under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group peer support services per plan.
• Facilitate peer-led groups and promote engagement in treatment.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and staff information.
• Document services in Medi-Cal-compliant electronic health record.
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients.
• Follow emergency procedures when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
