This role includes facilitating recovery groups, assisting with recovery plans, and connecting clients to community resources. The ideal candidate will have a lived experience in recovery and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Lived experience in recovery from substance use disorder is required.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries while offering support.
• Experience working in a behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer support to individuals with substance use disorders.
• Facilitate peer recovery groups, encouraging clients to share experiences.
• Assist clients in identifying and setting recovery goals.

Skills

Experience in recovery from substance use disorder

Peer Support Specialist certification preferred

Strong interpersonal skills

Knowledge of community resources for recovery

Education

High school diploma

Associate’s degree in healthcare related field
