Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of recovery involvement is required.
• Must be Kentucky Peer Support Specialist certified or complete certification within 3 months of hire.
• Must have a history of mental health and/or substance abuse diagnosis and treatment.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an active member of the treatment team.
• Advocate for services requested by the individual.
• Assist individuals in making informed, independent choices and connecting with community resources.
• Plan activities to promote empowerment and self-determination.
• Document in the recovery plan with strengths, needs, and goals.
