Pathways Inc. - Kentucky is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide social and emotional support to adults in the CRRU program. You will advocate for consumers, share recovery experiences, and help individuals access resources to promote wellness and independence.

Ideal candidates have lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges and hold a Peer Support Specialist Certification. This is a full-time role within a collaborative treatment team focused on recovery-oriented

Qualifications

• Must be a self-identified consumer of mental health services with a personal history of mental illness and/or substance use disorder.
• Understanding of the recovery process and ability to use personal lived experience to support others.
• Peer Support Specialist Certification.
• Ability to establish positive, supportive relationships and work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Professionalism, reliability, compassion, and respect for individuals served.

Responsibilities

• Provide social and emotional support to adults served by the CRRU program.
• Advocate for consumers and assist access to resources and services.
• Provide information to help consumers make informed recovery decisions.
• Build trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Collaborate with consumers and treatment team to identify personal goals.
• Encourage skill development for independence and wellness.
• Utilize lived experience to offer hope and encouragement.
• Contribute to consumer-centered service planning and documentation.
