Job summary

New River Valley Community Services is seeking a full-time Registered/Certified Peer Recovery Specialist for the MAT program. You will provide non-clinical, wellness-focused support and share your recovery experiences to inspire clients and boost engagement in treatment and community participation.

You will help consumers articulate personal wellness goals and recovery resiliency, supporting self-advocacy and hope in a compassionate, person-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a mental health or substance use disorder that has impacted your life for two years or more and must identify a year in recovery.
• Must identify a year in recovery.
• Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical, person-centered wellness-focused support to engage clients in the MAT program.
• Share lived recovery experiences to inspire hope and encourage self-advocacy.
• Assist clients in articulating personal goals for wellness and recovery resiliency.
