Job summary

Responsibilities include facilitating recovery discussions, developing plans, coordinating services, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Travel and mileage reimbursement are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Certified Peer Specialist at hire or within 6 months of hire.
• Texas driver’s license in good standing as defined by Texana Center's procedure.
• 1 year of lived experience with mental illness and treatment and recovery in a community center setting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate recovery discussions with clients and help articulate personal recovery goals.
• Assist in developing recovery plans using clients' skills, supports and resources.
• Help clients access services that fit their recovery needs.
• Assist clients in establishing and sustaining self-help and community resources.
• Model coping strategies and self-advocacy; promote recovery empowerment.
• Maintain documentation to meet standards and performance benchmarks.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary treatment team and report to Clinic Manager.
