Job summary

West Texas Centers is seeking a Peer Provider Specialist to deliver direct rehabilitative services and symptom management to clients with mental illness. The role emphasizes community-based interactions and peer-to-peer support within a therapeutic team.

Qualifications

• Lived mental health recovery experience to support others.
• Must be 18+ years old to qualify.
• Valid Texas driver license and clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct rehabilitative services engaging clients to reduce symptoms and disability.
• Deliver symptom management support to help clients identify and manage mental illness symptoms.
• Conduct most interactions with clients and families outside the traditional clinic setting.
• Build consumer relationships to foster trust, hope and empowerment for recovery goals.
• Provide peer-to-peer services as part of the therapeutic support team.
