Job summary

Terros Health seeks a Peer and Family Support Specialist to join an interdisciplinary team serving individuals with serious mental illness or general mental health needs under treatment orders at Priest Dr. Recovery Center.

The role involves living skills coaching, peer support, and care coordination in a community setting. Requirements include a high school diploma, 6 weeks of behavioral health experience, and Arizona driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED and at least 6 weeks of behavioral health employment experience.
• Peer Employment Training and Arizona State Peer Certification are required/preferred.
• Self-identify as a Behavioral Health recipient in recovery for 1–3 years or have family experience with serious mental illness.
• Valid AZ Driver License with 4 years driving experience and compliance with Terros Health driving policy.
• Must understand and utilize a recovery approach and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive services to members in a community setting and facilitate recovery-based services by sharing personal experiences.
• Provide living skills training, personal assistance and peer/family support to members.
• Assist with care coordination and help members access additional community supports.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of member engagements.
