Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) Louisiana ACT Program is seeking a compassionate Counselor to provide addiction and mental health counseling within a recovery-focused program. You will manage an active caseload, deliver both individual and group modalities, and support participants toward stability and independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of two years’ experience with individuals with co-occurring disorders.
• Minimum of one year of specialized substance use training or supervised experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical counseling services for addiction and mental health.
• Maintain an active caseload and deliver individual and group counseling.
• Collaborate with participants and team to achieve treatment outcomes.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow EMR guidelines.
