Job summary

The Emily Program in Columbus, OH is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support the residential and inpatient milieu. You will facilitate therapeutic activity groups, help clients develop coping skills for eating disorders, and maintain a recovery-oriented environment with strong team collaboration.

You will work 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE) on first shift (6:00 am–2:30 pm) with rotating weekends and holidays, and you will be compensated with an hourly rate starting at $18–$22, depending

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher or 2 years healthcare experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.
• Previous direct mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the residential and inpatient milieu by facilitating activity groups and assisting clients to acquire skills to manage their eating disorder.
• Participate in meals and snacks and support structured outings and recreation.
• Engage residents, report observations, and document charts.
• Enforce policies and complete hourly room-checks.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree or higher or 2 years healthcare experience preferred

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field

Valid driver’s license and authorized to drive

Previous direct mental health experience preferred
