Job summary

The Emily Program seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support residential and inpatient milieu, facilitating therapeutic activity groups and helping clients develop skills for managing eating disorders. The position will relocate to Aurora, OH, after an initial assignment in Cleveland Heights.

Responsibilities include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, supporting meals and structured activities, documenting observations, and enforcing facility policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher or at least 2 years of healthcare experience in a similar position/related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field; a relevant certification or licensure preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the multi-disciplinary team on care plans and treatment, assisting in admissions and supporting clients in programming.
• Participate in therapeutic meals and snacks and provide support during structured outings and recreation.
• Engage, challenge, and support residents as needed; report observations and document in charts.
• Monitor and support bathroom use per client treatment direction; monitor and document exercise.
• Enforce appropriate policies with residents and complete all expected tasks including hourly room-checks.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree or higher or 2 years healthcare experience

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health or related field; cert/licensure preferred

Valid driver’s license
