Job summary

BrightView Health in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Counselor to join our treatment team. You will conduct group therapy, patient intake assessments, and crisis/de-escalation support.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will assist with treatment planning, track progress, coordinate care, and ensure timely documentation in the electronic health record while upholding regulatory requirements. Required: 1+ year in a related field; preferred: Bachelor’s degree and state-regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ year in a relevant field.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of state-level regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and progress monitoring.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend required meetings (on-site staff and MDT).
• Document all treatment data in the electronic health record and comply with regulations.
