Job summary

BrightView Health in Roanoke, VA is seeking an experienced Counselor to support individuals on their recovery journey. You will conduct group therapy, patient intake assessments, and crisis de-escalation within a collaborative treatment team.

The role requires 1+ year in a relevant field; state regulations apply and active licensure or certification is required. Bachelor's degree preferred; strong communication and empathy are essential to patient care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in counseling or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; active licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Harm reduction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• CLINICAL CARE: Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments; provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• TREATMENT PLANNING AND PROGRESS MONITORING: Assist with treatment planning; review progress towards goals.
• COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION: Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team and attend meetings.
• DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE: Timely documentation of treatment data in the EHR and regulatory compliance.
