Job summary

TRILOGY BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE seeks a Recovery Counselor - Employment Specialist (ACT) in Chicago, IL. You will assess clients across medical, emotional, and social domains to plan treatment and employment pathways, emphasizing community visits and strengths-based support.

Responsibilities include developing individual recovery plans, coordinating with the IPS team, documenting care, and providing crisis coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have one of the listed degrees/certifications.
• Experience in mental health settings is preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends per schedule.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and daily vehicle access.

Responsibilities

• Assess client’s personal, medical, emotional, social, and environmental situation during visits.
• Coordinate recovery plan with client, support system, and care providers.
• Engage clients to explore employment opportunities within IPS framework.
• Complete daily progress notes and documentation per policy.
• Provide crisis coverage and on-call support as directed.

Bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, education, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or related human service field

Bachelor's degree in any other field with two years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting

Licensed Practical Nurse under the Nurse Practice Act [225 ILCS 65]

Certificate of Psychiatric Rehabilitation from a DHS-approved program

CRSS certification through IAODAPCA

Family Partnership Professional certificate IAODAPCA

Occupational Therapy Assistant licensed under Illinois Act

High school diploma or GED with five years of supervised clinical experience in mental health
