Job summary

Pinnacle Treatment Centers in Mount Pocono, PA, seeks an experienced Counselor to guide patients through recovery within our evidence-based programs. The role emphasizes compassionate care, crisis counseling, and coordinating treatment plans with rigid adherence to federal and state guidelines.

Candidates should hold an Associate’s or higher in a related field, with CADC/CAAC or progress toward CADC credentials, and relevant alcohol/drug counseling experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or higher degree in a related field.
• Licensure/certification in addiction counseling (CADC/CAAC).
• Progress toward CADC or equivalent within three years of hire.
• Experience in chemical dependency or counseling settings preferred.
• Licenses (CAADC, LCSW, LPC, LSW) may be required as noted.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries per standards.
• Orient patients to program objectives, phase requirements, and patient rights.
• Assess and place patients according to treatment phases; update charts.
• Counsel patients in crisis and refer to community resources as needed.
• Arrange referrals and participate in case conferences and reviews.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with regulations; document communications.
• Perform intakes, facilitate group counseling, and conduct urine drug screens.
• Submit monthly/quarterly reports and attend supervised trainings.
