Job summary

CODA is seeking a Counselor to provide introductory counseling, behavior management, and case management for patients in alcohol and drug treatment programs. The role focuses on developing recovery tools and skills, with a Tuesday–Saturday, 8:30am–5pm schedule.

The position requires a two-year degree in addictions-related field and clinical experience. CADC-R status within 30 days and ongoing certification are expected as part of professional requirements.

Qualifications

• Two year degree or coursework toward a two year degree in addictions-related field.
• Minimum of 6 months related clinical experience in A&D or allied health field as part of a clinical work team responsible for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Carry caseload of patients and engage in treatment planning.
• Plan and implement patient interventions.
• Provide individual/group counseling and skills training as outlined in service plan.
