Job summary

Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) is hiring an Adult Treatment Counselor for Project Recovery outpatient services in Santa Barbara. Join a robust team providing individual and group counseling to assist clients in recovery and community reintegration.

The role requires a college degree in a helping profession and MFCC or CAC preferred, with at least one year of counseling experience. This is a full-time, in-person position with benefits and a salary range of $22–$25 per hour, DOE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a helping profession (Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, etc.) and MFCC or CAC preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in alcohol/drug counseling.
• Knowledge of ASAM assessments and DHCS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in treatment/discharge planning and assessment.
• Conduct individual and group counseling, education, and relapse prevention sessions.
• Complete client ASAM assessments and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate client files and case notes per DMC ODS Guidelines.
