Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification with the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors (ADT, CSC-AD, or CAC-AD).
• Experience in substance use and/or co-occurring treatment settings.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions at least four times per week.
• Conduct weekly one-on-one sessions with assigned consumers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of consumer progress in the EHR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Perform Intake Assessments and ASAM evaluations to determine level of care.
• Develop personalized treatment plans within seven days of admission.
• Monitor consumer progress and adjust plans with the treatment team.
• Deliver alcohol and drug education through individual sessions and group facilitation.
• Ensure all clinical records comply with regulatory standards.
• Oversee and document random drug testing (urinalysis).
• Adhere to confidentiality guidelines per 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
• Supervise counselor trainees and provide guidance.
