Center for Community Resources is hiring a Certified Peer Specialist to support clients in Butler, PA. The role uses the peer's recovery experience to build trust, develop service plans, and promote engagement with local resources.

You will attend community events, educate on recovery concepts, and help clients set life skills goals in a client-centered approach. The position emphasizes scheduling flexibility with day/evening hours and a strong focus on community-based support.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• REQUIRED: Certified Peer Specialist Certification training curriculum approved by the Department.
• Experience: 12 months paid/voluntary work or 24 credit hours post-secondary.

Responsibilities

• Assist peers in developing individual service plans and encourage engagement in resources.
• Attend community events to promote local resources and advocate for clients.
• Set goals for life skills and support decision making about care.
• Maintain appointments and utilization standards; meet clients at chosen locations.
• Educate clients and families about recovery-oriented services; teach life skills.
• Perform other duties to support agency mission.
