Job summary

Wisconsin Community Services is seeking a Recovery Support Coordinator to coordinate AODA treatment and recovery support services for individuals returning to the community from corrections facilities or involved with DOC community corrections. The role may also serve consumers in the general population.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in social services and 3 years of related experience, with a Wisconsin driver’s license and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, or Human Services preferred.
• 3 years related experience in behavioral health or corrections.
• Knowledge of Wraparound philosophy a plus.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and access to a vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Accept referrals from Reach In Specialists, DOC, and Central Intake and initiate service coordination.
• Set up Recovery Support Teams and enroll consumers within two weeks of enrollment.
• Develop a Recovery Plan of Care (RPOC) and update every 30 days.
• Assist in establishing measurable consumer outcomes and coordinating services with Probation and Parole.
• Provide or secure wraparound training to consumers and AODA vendors.
• Counsel, support, and engage consumers in the Wraparound process to promote self-sufficiency.
• Coordinate aftercare with Probation/Parole and AODA agencies.
• Authorize RPOC services through vouchers with network providers.
• Monitor service quality and adjust RPOCs per guidelines.
• Advocate for consumers with courts and other institutions.
• Arrange transportation and be available for crisis response.
