You will facilitate groups, connect with community resources, document progress, and collaborate with treatment teams. The role emphasizes empathy, resilience, and professional boundaries while supporting recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Self-identify as a current or former recipient of mental health or substance use services, or as an individual in recovery.
• Knowledge of case management, rehabilitation principles, and recovery-oriented approaches.
• Able to share lived experience while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong communication skills and documentation ability.
• Must complete state-approved Peer Specialist training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing and achieving personalized recovery goals.
• Facilitate peer support services, groups, and recovery activities.
• Share recovery tools and coping strategies to inspire hope.
• Assist with identifying strengths, building networks, and accessing resources.
• Coordinate scheduling, referrals, and transportation as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and participate in treatment planning.
