Job summary

The Wright Center is looking for a Certified Recovery Specialist to provide ongoing recovery support and coaching to high-risk patients dealing with substance use disorders in Pennsylvania. Responsibilities include developing service plans, assisting patients in identifying community resources, and maintaining contact with treatment providers. Applicants must have at least five years in recovery, a high school diploma or GED, and current recovery specialist credentials. This role requires flexibility in hours to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in recovery from addiction to alcohol or other drugs.
• Understanding of the sensitivity to alcohol and other drug use.
• Ability to secure Act 33 and 34 clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-going recovery support services to high-risk patients.
• Assist patients in developing their own system of natural supports.
• Maintain regular contact with treatment providers to monitor progress.

Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Solid organizational skills

Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft products

Ability to work nontraditional hours

Education

High school diploma or GED

Current Certified Recovery Specialist credential

Current BLS certification
