Job summary

Centerstone is seeking a qualified behavioral health professional to provide evidence-based individual and group counseling, both in-office and in community settings. You will build rapport, support clients in setting goals, and help reduce substance use while teaching healthy coping skills.

Key duties include conducting ANSA/CANS assessments, completing treatment plans, attending team meetings, and ensuring timely documentation within the practice’s guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field; experience considered.
• Experience in behavioral health or social services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual, group and family counseling in office or community settings.
• Develop, implement and monitor individualized treatment/discharge plans.
• Participate in treatment team meetings to review goals and progress.
• Complete assessments (ANSA/CANS) and timely clinical documentation.
• Meet billable hour productivity standards and report to referral sources as needed.

Engage with clients so that they may more freely discuss substance use and its effects on mental and physical health and daily functioning. Aid clients in setting their own goals for treatment, as well as plans to reduce or abstain from substance use and to learn healthy coping skills. Build rapport and a therapeutic relationship with clients to introduce them to all the elements of a healthy recovery.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFacilitates client’s use of family, social and community resources, acting as an advocate with external resources and agencies and self-help programs.Provide individual, group and family counseling covering psycho-educational, addictions, daily living skills and activity therapy.Develop, implement and monitor clinically and fiscally responsible individualized treatment/discharge plans.Participate in treatment team meetings for the purpose of summarizing, reviewing and developing client’s treatment goals, progress and use of services.Maintain necessary communications and reporting with referral sources and other involved parties as approved by the client; provides testimony in court in regard to client’s behavior and condition when requested.Meet billable hour productivity standards.Complete ANSA/CANS assessments and reassessments on time.Complete clinical documentation within two business days of the service provided.Complete treatment plans and other clinical service authorizations in a timely manner.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESQUALIFICATIONSEducation LevelBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred, preferably in psychology, social work, or a related field. Experience equivalency considered in place of education requirement.Years of ExperienceExperience working and/or volunteering within the behavioral health, criminal justice, or social services field can be considered in place of degree.
