Job summary

Dixon Social Interactive Services, Inc. is seeking a Certified Support Specialist to provide Recovery Coaching to members with mental health and substance use disorders. The role models recovery and supports family and community reintegration, while guiding members through personal goals and independence.

The position is part-time with day and night shifts, Monday to Friday. A background in peer support and CPR/First Aid is preferable, along with a valid driver’s license and reliable

Qualifications

• Obtained a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1–2 years of experience working with mental health/substance abuse populations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to submit to background check and drug screen.
• Minimum of 2 years consecutive recovery.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of 12 Core Functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality of care to patients and ensure compliant practice.
• Conduct individual and group counseling as needed to meet enrollment goals.
• Produce clear and concise documentation for all services rendered.
• Provide appropriate referrals to members in need.
• Motivate members for change and crisis intervention when needed.
• Educate members about mental illness and medications to support recovery.
