Job summary

The Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) is seeking a Recovery Coach II in New London, CT to provide one-on-one client engagement and connect individuals to recovery resources.

The role works within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on wrap-around services and individualized recovery planning. Responsibilities include coordinating referrals, relapse prevention, and independent living skills, while supporting clients’ hopes and goals.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Peer certification from a state-approved board is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record required.
• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team and external providers.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; patient-centered approach.
• Ability to identify resources and reduce barriers to recovery.
• Commitment to SCADD values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one client engagement and connect clients to wrap-around resources.
• Coordinate relapse prevention and independent living skills within treatment.
• Assist with complaints and coordinate resolutions; follow through on resources.
• Support clients to avoid psychiatric crises and risky behaviors.
• Arrange transportation and provide direct transportation if needed.
• Participate in orientation and knowledge transfer for new employees.
