Zusammenfassung

Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) in New London, CT, seeks a Licensed Counselor to provide direct clinical services in our transitional treatment program.

You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, offer counseling, crisis intervention, and discharge planning within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends.

Qualifikationen

• Licensed in either Associate or Independent licensure as applicable
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Commitment to trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practice
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Aufgaben

• Orient clients to program goals, rights, and conduct upon admission
• Ensure insurance authorizations align with treatment dates
• Educate clients individually and in groups about substance use and recovery resources
• Coordinate case management and discharge planning with community resources
• Provide crisis intervention during distress and safety planning
• Develop individualized treatment plans with targets and interventions
• Refer to higher levels of care when needed and coordinate transitions
• Participate in team meetings and document client progress
• Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
